My understanding is that ghosts are souls that haven't crossed over into the light for whatever reason. Spirits, on the other hand, are souls that have already crossed over and come and go at their own free will.
Has anyone else heard of this theory?

That's what I believe.Along with that a Angel is a Spiritual being that comes from God,but never had a physical body here in this plan.A Guardian Angel is almost the same but they are here to help one person.But all of the above come from God,and are good.Now a Demon or Demonic is a whole different thing That comes from Hell and is pure evil.
But those thoughts are just mine and are based on my religious believes others may vary.

I believe that ghosts and spirits are the same thing (just different names.) We are all eternal spiritual beings, when we are not in a physical body we are in our natural state (spirit.) Some spirits do not cross over straight away for various reasons but most do and can come back and visit if necessary.

I believe hell is a totally human creation, the need for opposites perhaps, or more likely the need to blame someone or something else for totally unacceptable and even atrocious (?sp) behaviour (eg. oh the devil/demon made me do it.) Demons do not exist. If a spirit was a very nasty piece of work when in human form that personality will carry over into the spirit world for a little while, until they do what they feels is necessary to atone for what they did as a human, then they will go to the light and move forward. If a person believes they have been so awful (sinful) in this life that they will go to hell when they die, there spirit will in a way, a hell of their own making, but only till they make amends and then they cross over, etc.

The amount of humans killing other humans in the name of God, perpetrated by those who are supposedly religious and in service to God disgusts me. Therefore I have nothing to do with any organised religion. There is still a lot of abhorrent things that go on within organised religions. There are so many who attend church every Sunday but do not live the life on a daily basis they give lip service to at church. My connection with God is direct. None of us need anyone or anything else to help us access God, just go within yourself to your true Self (your spirit) as that is connected to God. I love and respect every single living being on this Earth, and the Earth itself, and treat every single living being and the Earth itself accordingly, every single day. Ask yourself, if you were God and you were walking this Earth how would you treat other people? Animals? The Earth itself?

Everything is made from energy, and if a human puts off enough negative energy they can influence something else, same goes with positive energy. Science has already proven the law of attraction when it comes to energy, and since we are made up of energy the energy we put out is the type of energy that will be attracted to us. I believe if you radiate heaps of positive ernergy all the time the "negative" spirits (the more unsavoury characters!) will not be attracted to you because they cannot access or feed off your energy.

And one final thing, don't forget to thank God or angels or your spirit guides every single day for every little (and big) thing they do for you. They do so much for us and all they ask is that we say thank you! (oh, and they hope we will evolve spiritually as well, that's what we're here for after all!)

My beliefs are a bit like Terry and Grizz, but I think Hell is somewhere inside of us, a kind of torment, if we are living an evil life. Another word for it is conscience, I suppose. I believe that to break out of it, we need to see ourselves truly, and try to change and if possible make up for the bad things - not easy. I also think when we die we are made to confront all the issues from our earthly life- I'm not looking forward to that!

Yes yes, multiple choice would be great. Spirits of the deceased and energy imprints would get my vote.
